Class Theme: Tapas/Discipline

I’m still riding high off the wave of winning Delegates Choice Canadian Presenter of the Year 2018 at the world fitness expo this past weekend. The one running thought in my mind is: hard work pays off! This has been years in the making, and doesn’t stop now. Dedication, passion and commitment will get you everywhere. I hope you enjoy my latest theme ❤

The following theme can be used either for your own personal practice, or for your group classes or one on ones that you are teaching. Everything below is just a guide based on my thoughts and experiences in the moment. Feel free to change anything to better suit your teaching/practice style or so that it feels more authentic to you and your own teaching voice. Namasté

Theme: Tapas/Discipline

Physical Focus: Involve poses that people don’t always enjoy, like Bow or Frog (this might be just personal lol) the ones that send out the groans, but we know are good for us.

Yama/Niyama: Tapas (discipline) 

Chakra: Anahata – Heart Chakra

Mudra: No fear, palm open with arm outstretched

Mantra: Om Namah Shivaya

I bow to Shiva, I bow to my true Self. 

Additional Notes:

Discipline only works for what we are passionate about. We must follow what our hearts yearn for and never give up. There will be obstacles, the road will not always be smooth but with dedication and commitment we will move forward.  

What calls our heart? what should we be doing, what changes do we need to make in our life to fulfill our hearts desires.
